Today was my first callback; and needless to say I sent in what was requested lickety-split!
In the acting business, for elite members of Hollywood, a "callback" means the director liked something you did during your initial audition and wants to see more so they can pare down the talent from say 500 to 5 finalists.
For me, it's a journey down the photographer's road less traveled. Rejection is real, but you can't rise to the top if you don't put your work out there. That's the heart of passion.
I could no more act than sing. But I can take a photo that tells a story. I can take a series of photos that become a " signature collection" worth noting.
I can write a caption that sets my photo apart. Details remain vivid. I see things differently after a photo shoot. I'm already planning another opportunity or experience!
Explaining how my photographs represent my town, my state or my country is a new passion. Writing adds a depth or texture. It defines my world with a photo. It's a world I'm proud of and it's a world we need to spend time exploring and
