There are moments when the lens simply cannot capture the image. For one, it's downright dangerous (no stopping permitted in 80 mph PRISON zone along interstate even though a semi tractor rig full of rather nice vehicles is unloading said vehicles onto the shoulder for an unknown reason. Funnier still: OJ was within days of release.) Two, someone I know (or feel I would readily friend on FB) may lose their job because they parked the big yellow school bus in the liquor store parking lot for an unknown reason. Three, the camera is packed in a suitcase somewhere in the cargo area and the wildlife doesn't "stop to pose" on demand. While that may sound like I'm flying in regards to the cargo area comment, I'm not. I just pack a lot of stuff with me when I go on long OR short road trips. While I have been downsizing in my real retired life and home, my vehicle remains the one constant. I could live in it for weeks at a time and have. I have pondered the missing reams of inquiring minds want to know photos.... The solution is easy. Buy a $12 lanyard that sleekly holds the cell phone around your neck. Use said safely stowed cell for the rare and hilarious opportunities of a lifetime, knowing that a picture is always worth at least a thousand words especially on FB.
Note: This photo is from the 2017 Durango Poetry Gathering Parade. I feel that the USA flag should be posted as often as possible, our country needs to be reminded that we are united, all lives matter. God Bless America!
