Some days the writing comes easy. Some days the photographs come together without sweat. The Singer hums. The coffee grows cold - forgotten. Most days I am busy creating without fanfare or drama. It's simple. Satisfying. It's a quiet existence.
Then there are days, that totally ROCK!
My Ranch Hand Rodeo poem Yippee Tied & True was printed - - full page with one of my iconic cow images from an open range herd right here in Humboldt County. I am thankful to Gerhard Publishing for including me!
I've had many photographs and articles published in the Community Living Magazine BUT this was different!! It was personal.
When my retirement began in the fall of 2015, my creative journey began slowly. Then with confidence, it took off in earnest. (Painful struggles were mixed in with the magic.) With each year, I've been driven to become a better human being, a better photographer, a better writer, and a better artist. Yes, my family knows me better; I am happier and striving toward healthier! NEW volunteer opportunities continue to humble me and soothe my soul; much like a divine intervention. With each experience, tried and true connections abound! Sharing life with folks that are down to earth, talented, and compassionate continues to amaze me! I am blessed!
